Can Comadran, also known as Casa Font, is a typical mansion with a number of outstanding Modernist elements. It was commissioned by the "Indiano" Nicolau Font i Maig and was completed in 1877, as the date on the building itself shows. The house is large and majestic with high ceilings and an enormous staircase. Among its most outstanding features are: the main entrance with a cedarwood main door; the inner front door, with Modernist style leaded glass; the entrance steps, with iron handrails on both sides to match an iron-work gate preceding the main front door. The walls of the rooms are decorated in sgraffito; the ceilings are finely painted; the bathrooms are adorned with beautiful Modernist style ornamental elements; the internal staircase is lined with mahogany bars. The floors are made of polychrome mosaics using different coloured tesserae, and are remarkable in that each room has a mosaic with a different design. The building was bought by the Town Council in 1982.
